SIP Northwest Magazine most recently celebrated it’s one year anniversary. In the short time they have been at it, SIP has acquired the 2012 Maggie Award Winner “Best Quarterly Magazine”, along with a deep respect in the Pacific Northwest beverage community. If you have yet to get your hands on an issue, it is a really fabulous magazine celebrating wines, beers and spirits in the Northwest.
When Kristin Ackerman (Publisher) and Kendall Jones (freelance writer and author of Washington Beer Blog) contacted us a few months back….they informed us that we had been chosen for SIP Northwest’s Best of the Pacific Northwest 2012 issue by a panel of judges as the “Best Newcomer” in the “Best of Beer” category.
After I fell out of my chair and proceeded to pick myself up off the floor….
I thought – Wow, seriously!?! What an honor, we had yet to to brew our first batch of beer!
No pressure, right?
Shortly after that email exchange, we got our first batch of beer rolling and we have now been selling beer for just over a month. Frankly, it’s been quite a whirlwind with all the release parties of July and the Grand Opening of the tasting room early August, but it’s been such a great start for pFriem Family Brewers….we couldn’t be happier!
Thank you to everyone (familiar and new) who has stopped by the tasting room to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a tasty pFriem. Also, thanks to those who have requested pFriem at their favorite watering holes in the Gorge and in and around the Portland area.
We are honored to have been named “Best Newcomer” of 2012 in the Pacific Northwest by SIP and our hope is we can live up to your expectations!
Below is a link to SIP Northwest Summer 2012 issue, but we highly suggest picking one up and thumbing through it with your own two hands…either way you’ll find pFriem on page 40.
